So Long Levon...


I love The Band and Levon's place within it but my favorite memories of him come from his small (but heavy) part in "The Right Stuff".  Have to watch that again soon as a final farewell.

"The Last Waltz" was a great flick. Great footage and great music. Dr. John, Joni Mitchell and Butterfield were awesome and Neil Young was tripping.

A sad day indeed, I never realised it was him in the film, definitely going back to it over the weekend, thanks for the info, I posted a clip of 'The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down' yesterday if you want to have a squiz and a listen. Ta muchly ZON, dig your caper.

Sheeeet, not only was he in the bloody thing but the narrator to boot !! In Yeager's autobiography the relationship between the two was made to seem so special in his heart, now the "Right Stuff" takes on a whole new dimension courtesy of checkin your post, seriously stoked and very touched by the discovery, cheers.
